Lilah's First "Big Girl" Bday present

Very relaxed...

Look, I fit!

So we decided that since she's incredibly tall, and her feet/legs are scrunched up against our back seat, that it was time for her "big girl" car seat. And what better day to buy it than on her birthday! So after our Disneyland adventure, we made a quick stop at Bergstroms and picked it up. She's riding in style!

Disneyland for Lilah's 1st Birthday

After we got home I put on the T-shirt that Grandma Carey got for her... it was a little big but too cute! It says, "It's my birthday!"

Trying on her first set of ears!

Exhausted from her long day.

My silly girl...

Her 2nd ride on Small World...

We just tried them on... didn't buy them.

Pretty girl...

She absolutely loved the carousel!

Riding a horsie... or wow-wow

She loved the goats... or again, the wow-wows

Exhausted from her very first ride... Small World.

She was very interested in everything going on!

Checking out Small World... lots to look at!

More Small World...

Lilah and Grandma Carey

She got a button for her birthday! So cute!

She was not digging Chip

Mommy and my big girl!

On the tram, ready to start our day...

Chris's mom and I took Lilah to Disneyland for her 1st birthday! She was the big "1" today... and I think we celebrated in style! She loved everything about Disneyland! We were there from around 10:30am until 4:30pm... and she managed to take in 2 naps and several rides! There are a lot of pictures... so take your time! They are also out of order... not sure why!

I'm a proud daughter...

When I was still pregnant with Lilah, Chris went to a lineman rodeo for DWP with Mike, Ashley, Ashley's family, Luke and Nicole. Ashley's mom (Donna) bought Lilah this cute onesie from a stand there. She just now fit into it... perfect timing for when daddy finds out he's coming home and working from Glendale!!! Yahoo! She's such a proud daughter!

Cupcake Trial...

Auntie Ashley, Auntie Alison and Auntie Nicole came over a week or so ago to do a cupcake trial run for Lilah's 1st Birthday party. Here is a sneak peek at the 4 designs we decided to go with! We have our work cut out for us on May 9th... but she's well worth it!

Produce Stand Fun...

Auntie Jennie and Lilah

One hot baby...

Jennie calls this the "ghetto choo choo"

Hmm, what is this?

One tomato, two tomatoes...

Jennie's sister Loie kept throwing Lilah a piece of asparagus to entertain her.

Auntie Jennie

The Bowland girls, for the longest time, had a babysitter by the name of Jennie. She babysat us for years, and then had kids of her own. Long story short, she's still a great friend of the family and works at the OC Swap Meet on the weekends selling produce. Jessica and I (and maybe Jackie, I can't remember) used to work for her during high school... selling along side her. She's back there now, on the weekends, and I took Lilah to see her. Here are the highlights!

Easter 2009

Paige - getting the last of the egg on Lilah...

Hmm, what are these things?

Logan smashing an egg on Chris

Smashing an egg on Daddy's head!

Her cousins bombarded her and smashed several eggs on her head!

She was smart... wanted the plastic ones!

She was really good at putting the eggs in the bag at first, but was then more fascinated with taking them out.

Going down the slide with her cousin Paige

She loved playing on the slide with Daddy and her cousins.

Playing ball with Daddy...

Her first horse experience... we think she's traumatized. The horse neyed (is that spelled right) at her, and she got scared and started crying. It then licked her leg, and she cried. And Chris took her a second time to see the horse, and it was on the opposite side of the pen, and came running at them, so she got scared again! I think Auntie Jess is going to have to work extra hard to break her fear now!

Fresh from a nap and ready to start my Easter!
