Mac n' Cheese

She makes this same face every time you tell her to say "cheese" when taking a picture!

Mmm, it's so good!

Recently Lilah has really started to enjoy mac n' cheese (thank goodness! It's mommy's favorite!). I gave it to her the other night and she just looked so silly and cute with her cheesy face... I had to share!

Beach Fun!

Getting hit by a wave!

Putting Uncle Rob's jersey on.

Carter Moe... with his usual silly face!

Heading out to the water...

Playing in the water with Uncle Rob

Drinking the salt water...

Goofy cousin!

Auntie Jackie, Uncle Dave and Cousin Carter are in town with their side of the family staying at a beach house in Newport... so we joined them for the day (the past two days). The kids had a great time at the beach, and so did we! Here are some highlights!

Disneyland...

Watching the parade on Auntie Arica's shoulders!

It's a Small World...

Lilah with Grandma

Eating some apple slices...

Hanging with Cruela DeVille...
So Mommy finally bought a Disneyland pass... I thought I'd treat myself for my birthday. Now I can take Lilah whenever I want... which is great because she loves it there! We went this past Sunday with Chris's mom, grandma, Auntie Arica and a long-lost relative named Nikki... Lilah had a great time and was such a good girl!

15 Month Update

Lilah had her 15 month check-up on Monday! She weighs 21lbs and 13oz (putting her in the 30th percentile) and she's 31 and 1/2 inches tall (putting her in the 70th percentile). So, once again, she's tall and skinny! She had her 4 shots (3 boosters and 1 chicken pox vaccine) and she was not a happy camper! But she received a clean-bill-of-health!

Grandpa Joe...

On Friday, July 3rd, our Grandpa Joseph passed away due to kidney failure. Please see the letter below from my father:
Joyce's father of 59 years, Joseph Xavier Vukovich, "JX" as we was commonly known, age 88, passed into Heaven this morning, July 3rd, about 9:30 a.m. after a short, but intense hospitalization for kidney failure. In short, he was "just too tired to go on"...especially now that he was having to undergo dialysis 4 times a week. Needless to say his immediate survivors, Joyce, Joyce's sister Mary Jane Corpuz and her family and I are completely heartbroken but inspired by his courageous efforts to live the highest quality of life possible while dealing with old age and kidney failure.
We would like to request that no flowers or other gifts be sent (as I know is the tradition in some families), but we would like it if the next time you consider a charitable contribution, that you consider the Kidney Foundation as one of your options on behalf of or in tribute to "J.X. Vukovich." They do great work and further research toward the underlying causes of kidney failure and continue to reach out to the community at large to seek donors for the millions of people on transplant waiting lists.
Thanks to each of you for your kindness to Joe over the years. He had a wonderful memory and every time your name would come up in a casual conversation, Joe would always share an experience that he held dear from meeting and being with you, even if it was just a short time. He lived a good life, provided for his family, was a caring and loving father and he was an honorable man as well. I feel fortunate to have been his son-in-law and I learned many of life's lessons from him as his his friend over the last 37 years that I've known Joyce.
We all will miss him terribly. Best wishes to each of you and May God Bless You! On behalf of Joyce, Jackie, Jody & Jessica, Mary Jane and her husband Ron and their daughters Chloe and Ali, & myself.

Uncle Rob sharing his cupcake...

Happy as can be...
For the 4th of July we went to the beach with Auntie Jackie, Uncle Dave and Cousin Carter (no pictures, sorry) and then BBQ'd at our house afterwards. Naturally, around 3:30pm Daddy got called out to work so we hung out with friends and family without him :(. Uncle Rob, Adam, Mandee and Grandma Carey came over as well as Uncle Mike and Auntie Ash... we BBQ'd, lit fireworks and then hung out... here are some pictures...

Backyard Pool Time

Showing off my bikini bod!

Playing with the water spout that comes out of the dolphin nose...

Yay... having fun!

Adam and Mandee (Chris's cousin and girlfriend - and our part-time babysitters) bought Lilah a pool for her birthday and we finally blew it up. She loves that the hose connects to the dolphin... I think she could play with that all day. Here are some pictures of her enjoying herself in the pool, in her teenie weenie bikini!
