Shoes!

Lilah's favorite thing to do is put on shoes! If there are a pair of shoes left anywhere in the house, Lilah has them on! Here are some pictures of her in daddy's boots and mommy's heels. I'm not going to lie, she walks better in heels than I do!

Lilah loves taking tubbies... some nights she can spend all night in there... other nights its a quick thing. Her new favorite thing is to lick the door to the shower... she's hilarious!

We took Lilah to this big pumpkin patch in Irvine to get a few pumpkins... We were pretty lucky when we got there; they were doing just one more pony ride for the night... so we took our chances and put Lilah on. Needless to say, once those ponies started moving she had a blast! She kept going around the circle saying, "wee!" It was so cute!

We let her pet the goats and other animals in the petting zoo and then she just wandered around at her leisure... she eventually picked out a pumpkin for herself... I'm not sure it's big enough to carve but I'm certainly going to try!

Lilah Love...

It's been a while since we've updated this blog so I thought I'd post some pictures we've taken in the past few months... It's a shame you can't see the family resemblence between Lilah and Chris!

Things are good with us! We're just getting ready for the holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas)... Chris is working out of the Henkels and McCoy yard in Redondo so it's great to have him home every night. And I'm still subbing (only on request from regular teachers).

Lilah is talking up a storm. She says so many words... Titi (Auntie Jess) is going to take video of all of the things she can do and say. She's hilarious! She even imitates Beyonce in her "Single Ladies" video with her hand! I'll post those later!

Lilah went swimming with Daddy for the first time - at Chris's cousin Brianna's birthday party a few weeks ago... she had a great time and loved the pool! We did, however, run into a mishap that day...

If you don't know already, mommy fell into this cactus bush in our old neighborhood when I was young - at least 5-6 times. And each time, I'd be riding my bike, and it would be as if a magnetic force pulled me in... I'd go running home and my parents would either pull the needles out themselves, or take me to the doctor if there were too many...

Well, Chris's aunt and uncle have a cactus bush just like the one I used to fall into... and Lilah took off walking super fast and her leg and right hand fell into it... ouch!!!!!!! She had about 30-40 needles in her right leg and hand. Needless to say, with everyone's help we got them all out... but I think mommy was going to cry even harder than Lilah at times!!!

The weekend of August 28-31st we headed up to Sacramento for our nephew Carter's 1st birthday! Jackie and David had a great party planned... the Sacramento Zoo in the morning and then a party at their house later that day. Here are some pictures from the party and from the weekend with the family! We had a great, exhausting weekend!
